Finally, You Can Get a Fast OLED Gaming Monitor for Just $400.
Amazon started its Black Friday sales well before the day itself, but that doesn’t stop it from offering some wild discounts. AOC Agon PRO AG276QZD2 is one such offering and is perfect for gamers with a discerning eye. It is a 27-inch gaming monitor with a resolution of 1440 pixels and a 240Hz QD-OLED panel. When OLED technology hit the gaming monitor market just a few years ago, it was very expensive and had some serious drawbacks. Things are changing quickly, and this deal highlights that. You can get this amazing gaming monitor for just $400 on Amazon , a price that would have been virtually unthinkable even last year.
Late last year, I had the opportunity to test AOC’s Agon Pro AG276QZD for IGN (which is owned by the same parent company as Lifehacker). It was a stunning monitor with a fast OLED panel, delivering sharp 1440p images and an excellent price, even at around $749. AOC has since introduced the Agon PRO AG276QZD2 , which replaces the WOLED panel with a slightly brighter QD-OLED. While I haven’t had a chance to test this option yet, I’ve generally seen QD-OLED displays perform as well or better than WOLED displays.
These OLED gaming monitors have two big advantages. OLED has virtually infinite contrast, making gaming visuals look stunning. OLED pixels are also very fast, so even in the thick of intense action, images remain sharp without blurry ghosting or unsightly pixel pop. Couple that with the 240Hz refresh rate of the Agon Pro AG276QZD2 and you can see your games in a whole new light. You’ll also get a wide color gamut to make your games look even more vibrant.
It would be enough to simply get such a great display for $400, but the AOC Agon PRO AG276QZD2 is also stylishly designed, with a thin panel, RGB lighting, a dual-port USB hub, and even five-watt speakers. And with two HDMI ports and two DisplayPorts, you can configure this display to work with a variety of different gaming systems without having to juggle cables.
