I love iced coffee, but I hate iced coffee. Intentionally iced coffee is perfection, but cold, hot coffee is disgusting. You can, of course, microwave your coffee to return it to a drinkable temperature, and I’ve done this many times. However, if you tend to drink multiple cups a day, the battery will run out before you even finish the day’s tables, so I recommend keeping the wireless charging dock where you’re most likely to drink from your Ember mug – maybe , in your desk or on the coffee table. This way, you can place the mug on the charger rather than on a stand and keep the battery charged at all times.

Don’t let your drink burn
The Ember mug is not perfect. My only concern is how it handles the last sip or two of the drink. The heating element seems to be so strong that it will burn or at least change the flavor of even a small amount of liquid. My advice is to finish the cup before it gets to this point, set the temperature to a lower temperature, or turn off the heater via the app when you’re about three-quarters of the way through.
Important note: Do not place your Ember mug in the dishwasher . This mug can only be washed by hand . It can be safely washed in the sink and even submerged in water up to one meter deep. However, the abrasive nature of your dishwasher’s jets will be too much for both the outer coating and the electronics inside the mug. Washing it by hand after each use is a little extra work, but you’ll have plenty of energy with a cup of coffee that never gets cold.
