This Sony Bravia OLED TV Is Now $800 Off
For those shopping for a bargain OLED TV, the Sony Bravia 8 65-inch OLED 4K Ultra is a decent choice at the moment, currently on sale for $1,698 (down from $2,499.99). That’s Amazon’s lowest ever price, according to online price trackers.
The Bravia 8 has plenty of connectivity options, including four HDMI ports (two supporting 4K@120Hz, one with eARC), two USB ports, and additional options for audio, Ethernet, and antenna connections. Its smart features are based on Google TV, and the built-in Google Assistant provides hands-free voice control through far-field microphones.
If you’re a movie buff, Bravia 8 promises to upscale non-4K content for sharper picture quality. However, according to PCMag’s review , color performance is a bit of a mixed bag: SDR colors are decent, but whites, cyan, and magenta are a little cool, and yellows have a slight green tint. HDR colors look much better, remaining impressively accurate overall, with minor deviations such as cool whites and slightly warm purples. The review notes that while it handles perfect blacks beautifully, it stumbles a bit when dealing with very dark, but not quite black, objects.
Gamers will likely appreciate 4.6ms input lag in Game mode (well below the 10ms threshold considered acceptable for gaming TVs). However, it lacks the ultra-fast responsiveness seen in models like the LG Evo G4 or Samsung S95D . If gaming is your top priority, you may want to consider other options.
Finally, the kit includes an adjustable stand that allows you to customize the stand by positioning the legs closer to the edges, closer to the center, or raising the screen to make room for the soundbar.
