What’s New on Disney+ in November 2024
Disney+ will have a small lineup of new content in November, and the biggest projects will likely appeal to music fans the most. Earlier this month, the original documentary The Music of John Williams (November 1) offers a behind-the-scenes look at the composer’s life and his prolific, decades-long career. Williams has composed or scored some of the most iconic films in film music history, including Schindler’s List, Jaws, Jurassic Park , and the Star Wars, Harry Potter , and Indiana Jones franchises. and conducted some of the best orchestras in the world.
Rounding out the month is “The Beatles ’64” (November 30), a documentary from Martin Scorsese and David Tedeschi that includes never-before-seen archival footage of the band, as well as new interviews with Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr. The film will stream exclusively on Disney+.
Between the Musical Bookends is a new short film directed by Oscar winner Alfonso Cuaron. “Almost a Christmas Story” (November 15), the third installment in Cuarón’s series of holiday shorts, was inspired by the 2020 rescue of Rocky the Owl from the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree.
Here’s everything else coming to Disney+ in October, including new episodes of Isla and the Mirrors (November 1) and weekly live Dancing with the Stars (Tuesdays).
