My Favorite Smart Scales Are 30% Off for October Prime Day
While there are pros and cons to tracking your health data too closely, if and when you decide to weigh yourself, you should do so on the best, most useful scale. I personally use the iHealth Nexus smart scale and love it.
And since it’s on sale during October’s Amazon Prime Day holiday , I’ll tell you why if you decide you might like it too. (It’s great, but I’d still rather pay less for it.)
I got this thing in December when I was going through a phase where I decided it would be best to use technology to more closely monitor my health data. After I bought a new Apple Watch (to better understand how many calories I burn and how much sleep I sleep), I decided that I better take the next step and buy a smart scale that will sync. with my Apple Health app simplifying all the complexities of who I am physically into graphs and numbers.
My choice fell on iHealth Nexus, and I am very pleased with it. It offers readings of your weight, body fat percentage, body water percentage, muscle mass, muscle mass and bone mass, and also calculates your BMI, daily calorie intake and visceral fat. Obviously, a lot of this is probably made up to some extent (and BMI is generally not a bad indicator of your overall health ), but I like that viewing and tracking all of this data is an option .
What I Like Most About the iHealth Nexus Smart Scale
My favorite thing about the scale is how easily it syncs with Apple Health, which in turn syncs it with all the other apps I use to track my workouts and calorie intake. Even my telehealth apps are linked to Apple Health, so the scale data is instantly shared with all the apps and platforms I use. The readings appear on my phone the moment I step on the scale (of course, the most basic measurements of my weight are also displayed on the LED screen of the device itself).
I also appreciate that the app not only shows me my daily readings, but also automatically creates graphs illustrating changes over time. It’s nice to see my weight or BMI trends reflected in a clear way, rather than having to manually compare each day’s readings to the previous ones.
Finally—and this isn’t as important to the device’s performance as it is to my personal preferences—it’s sleek and looks really good in my bathroom: flat, pure white, aesthetically pleasing, and light enough for me to climb out of the tub. like my toe when I’m done with this. I bought my boyfriend one in black after deciding it would look great in his bathroom too, and then told my friend to buy one when it was on sale for Prime Day in the summer. They both love theirs as much as I love mine, and now since it’s even cheaper than it was during Prime Day a few months ago, it’s your turn.
