BedJet Has Truly Changed How Well I Sleep (and It’s on Sale)

At some point last year, I started being bombarded with advertisements for systems that put climate control in your bed. While this sounds great, I have 500 blankets accumulated and an amazing air conditioner and fan, so I felt like I could probably handle it without adding technology.

After using BedJet, I realized that, in short, I was a fool.

The BedJet 3 , which goes on sale October 9 for $391 (regularly $599), is like a mini air conditioner and heater that blows warm or cool air under the top sheet (or into an inflatable sheet you can buy). I had a lot of doubts at first: first, I like my sheets and didn’t trust the regular top sheets from BedJet. It was very soft and crunchy, and the texture of the leaf affected me much less when it was actually floating above me. I tried using the BedJet without the top sheet and it wasn’t nearly as good. You need that top sheet – and you can still cover it with a blanket.

As soon as you turn on the BedJet, it inflates the top sheet, but is quiet. It’s exciting and strange to see this happen. But almost immediately I realized how much cooler my body was compared to the fan and air conditioner I usually use. Because the air is contained in the sheet, I noticed that my sinuses weren’t as dry in the morning and neither was my skin. More importantly, the cooling effect is immediate, which is very valuable for middle-aged women. You can also fine-tune the temperature, which is great.

It works equally well when you need to heat up the bed rather than cool it down. Some mornings I blew warm air through my legs for a minute or two, a luxury I had never known about before.

The BedJet’s controls are amazing – it’s smart so you can download an app and control it from your phone or the remote control. I usually hate having an extra remote in my house, but the BedJet is awesome. You can simply set the BedJet for a normal nine-hour run, but there are advanced controls that allow you to customize modes as well.

This may all sound like crap, and I admit it’s purely anecdotal, but I’ve slept better in the last two weeks than I have in recent history. The constant temperature and sleeping under a soft, cool cloud had a very transformative effect on me. Obviously, all this comfort comes at a price, but on October 9th, that cost is reduced by 35%.

If you’re asking for a holiday gift or have trouble sleeping and are willing to spend some money to solve the problem, this is a good option.
