PlayStation 5 Slim – Lowest Price Ever
October’s Prime Day is finally here, and if you’ve been thinking about buying a new PlayStation 5 during it, now’s your chance. According to price checkers , both versions of the PlayStation Slim are on sale at their lowest prices ever. The Slim Digital Edition was priced at $399.99 (originally $449.99) but recently sold out. (Keep an eye on the link if it’s back in stock.) But the Slim console is $449 off (originally $499.99) and is currently still in stock.
This is the cheapest version of both consoles on Amazon. PlayStation fans will tell you that supply rarely matches demand when console prices drop like this (the Anniversary Editions sold out almost immediately). Any console will come pre-installed with the DualSense wireless controller and Astro gaming room . The price drop is likely due to the upcoming release of the new PS5 Pro , which you can pre-order now as it launches on November 7th.
Sony regularly updates the PS5 with the latest features, allowing users of your choice to connect to your console via Remote Play, a personalized 3D audio profile, automatically pausing charging when connected controllers reach the appropriate charge level, and other updates.
If you already have an older PS5 and are wondering about upgrading to the slim version, keep in mind that it offers more than just a sleeker design (it’s about 30% thinner, according to IGN’s review ). The PS5 Slim also has 1TB of internal storage, giving it an extra 181GB of usable space compared to the original PS5. This addresses two of the original PS5’s biggest drawbacks: bulkiness and lack of storage space compared to the Xbox Series X.
The PS5 Slim can be oriented either horizontally or vertically, but if you choose the latter, you’ll need a vertical stand , which costs $29.99.
