If you read books as a kid in exchange for the promise of pizza, you’re in luck: Pizza Hut is giving away free personalized pizzas throughout October (which is also National Book Month) to encourage readers of all ages. This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Book It pizzeria chain! program , which since 1984 has motivated students in preschool through 6th grade to read by promising a pizza prize.
Although you don’t have to sign up for Book It! or prove that you’ve read something to be eligible for a free pizza from Pizza Hut, you can follow the spirit of the competition by ordering your own personal pan pizza as a reward for completing the book. How to get free Pizza Hut pizza
To receive your free personalized pan pizza, you must place an online order of $8 or more through the Pizza Hut website or Pizza Hut app and enter code BOOKIT40 at checkout. You will be redirected back to select your toppings, after which the pizza will be added to your cart for free. Book This! The promo code is valid until October 30 or until 1 million pizzas are purchased.
You can also order Book It! The kit, which includes two large single-topping pizzas and an order of breadsticks, will have a portion of the proceeds donated back to Book It! program.
