Three Nintendo Switch Deals to Consider Ahead of the Holiday Rush

Amazon’s big deal days are just around the corner, forcing other retailers like Best Buy to hold their own fall sales ahead of the holidays. One of the hottest items for the holidays, the Nintendo Switch, already has some impressive deals and bundles, but they usually don’t last long.

Best Buy is offering two bundles that include 12 months of free Nintendo Online membership: the Mario Kart Nintendo Switch Bundle for $299.99 and the Mario Kart Nintendo Switch OLED Bundle for $349.99 . If you don’t want the bundle, the Nintendo Switch OLED is currently $299.99 (originally $349.99) at Woot. Keep in mind that Woot only ships to the 48 contiguous US states. If you have Amazon Prime, you get free shipping; otherwise it will cost $6.

Previously in June, Woot had an OLED Nintendo Switch for $314.99 , and it didn’t last long before it sold out. This is the best deal on an unbundled OLED Nintendo switch you can find right now from a trusted seller. If you know you want it before the crazy holiday sales start, it’s a good deal.

Best Buy’s packages are also very affordable. A new addition is a 12-month Nintendo Online membership, which was not previously offered in this package.

If you’re unsure which version of the console to get, the main difference is that OLED has a better 7-inch OLED screen, but if you plan on gaming primarily on your TV in connected mode, this may not matter to you. (Check out this guide to help you decide whether it’s worth paying for an OLED upgrade .) The other main difference is storage capacity: The OLED has 64GB of onboard memory, which is double the regular model. It also has an improved stand and the docking station looks sleeker. But if you plan on gaming on the Switch most of the time, an OLED screen won’t make any difference to you.
