Target’s Popular Car Seat Swap Event Is Back for Two Weeks.

If your baby is getting too big for his current car seat or you’re afraid to deep clean his existing one after an unfortunate bout of car sickness, then it’s time to run to Target.

The store’s popular two-week car seat trade-in promotion kicks off this Sunday. From September 15 to 28, 2024, trade in your old or expired car seat or booster seat at any participating store and you’ll receive a 20% Target Circle Bonus off a new car seat, stroller or home gear. Click here to find a destination near you.

To receive the discount, you must leave your old seat in the designated box inside the store. Then scan the QR code on the box and click “Add to Target Circle Bonus” or speak to a Guest Services member if you need assistance. The bonus will be in your Target app wallet for use in store or online through October 12th for use on a new car seat, stroller, high chair, bouncer, swing, bouncer, walker or stroller.

This program has saved my family money as my children have gotten older and outgrown car seats. Since the program launched in 2016, more than 45 million pounds of car seats have been recycled, according to Target. Visit the FAQ page here for more information about the program.
