Google Nest Audio Speaker Sells for $50
Google Nest Audio has been around since 2020, but is still Google’s best smart speaker when it comes to audio quality. Right now you can get it at Best Buy for $49.99 (originally $99.99), which is the lowest price I’ve seen after checking price check tools .
The first thing you’ll probably notice about the Nest Audio is its size. Measuring 6.9 by 4.9 by 3.1 inches, it’s one of the largest smart speakers on the market. But for speakers it’s actually good. This means Google packs some powerful specs, and since this is a smart speaker designed to stay put, size and weight (2.6 pounds) don’t matter.
Nest Audio has a 75mm woofer and a 19mm tweeter on the front speaker. It also has three long-range microphones, which you can turn off using a button on the back if you’re concerned about privacy. It has balanced sound with detailed treble, it supports Bluetooth and Google Cast (you can connect your phone’s audio via Wi-Fi) and, of course, it has Google Voice assistant built-in. Google doesn’t release smart speakers as often as Amazon. In 2024, Google Nest Audio is still Google’s latest release and the best smart speaker for sound quality. At its current price, it costs the same as the 2nd generation Nest Mini , but it’s much more powerful. If you have other Google speakers at home, you can group them together to play simultaneously. You can also connect it to another Nest Audio to act as stereo speakers.
If you’re looking for a smart speaker with great sound, this is the best value for your money at the current price, especially if you already have a Google ecosystem in your home.
