Here Are All the Answers to Chipotle’s IQ Test
Chipotle kicked off its annual Chipotle IQ trivia competition this morning. If you answer all 10 online questions correctly, you could win a “buy one, get one free” coupon, and 50 people would win “free burritos for a year.”
You should definitely cheat on this test.

Chipotle will likely change the questions over the next few days—the contest runs through Thursday.
Here are some rules of thumb for the first round: If you can answer “all of the above,” you should answer, and if the answer is the number that makes Chipotle good, choose the highest one. Otherwise, leave your browser window open and Google it.
Chipotle’s IQ test was fake and weak
Like real IQ tests, Chipotle’s quiz doesn’t actually measure anything and offers limited rewards for high scores. The BOGO deal is only given to 5,000 people per hour, and even if you win it, you’d better get to Chipotle quickly—according to the official rules, “BOGO codes expire August 29, 2024.”
Everyone else gets 25 reward points, no matter how many questions you answer correctly. To give you an idea of how little that is, the humble cheese quesadilla at Chipotle costs 1,650 points.
Even the grand prize of a “free burrito for a year” is weak. That’s actually 52 burritos, not “all the burritos you can eat in a year.” This is a grand prize worth $517.40.
So in exchange for a small chance to win minor prizes, Chipotle gets your email address and phone number, giving them the ability to market their products to you in the future. You won’t get the best value from this deal if you don’t maintain your anonymity.

There is nothing stopping you from signing up for Chipotle’s quiz/loyalty program by providing a permanent email address and Google voice number for the verification code.
This excludes you from the “promotion” part of the deal. But just going to Chipotle to “get one free” is a win for the fast food chain, because you’re probably going to be spending the extra money on side orders or going with a friend who will spend something.
Bottom line: To get the most out of the Chipotle Trivia Contest, you should eat at your local Mexican restaurant instead.
