Pre-Orders for the New Pixel 9 Phones Include Gift Cards Worth up to $350.
Google fans must be excited this week with the news of three new Pixel devices: the Pixel 9 line of smartphones , the Pixel Watch 3 , and the Pixel Buds Pro 2 , all of which are now available for pre-order.
With the new Google Pixel 9 lineup of phones, you can choose from four options: Google Pixel 9 , Google Pixel 9 Pro , Google Pixel 9 Pro XL , and Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold . Amazon, Google, and Best Buy offer similar gift cards ranging from $100 to $350, but Best Buy also offers a trade-in value of up to $460 if you have an old phone you’re looking to get rid of. Here’s a breakdown of each phone.
Pixel 9 starts at $799.
First up is the Pixel 9, which starts at $799 with 128GB of storage. You can get a $100 gift card from Amazon , Best Buy or Google if you pre-order from them. The Pixel 9 uses Google’s new Tensor G4 chip as its processor and has a 6.3-inch OLED screen with 1080p resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The RAM is 12GB and there are two cameras on the back: a 50MP wide and a 48MP ultra-wide.
The Pixel 9 Pro starts at $999.
Next up is the Pixel 9 Pro, with the same Tensor G4 chip, the same 6.3-inch OLED screen and 120Hz refresh rate, but with a 1280p resolution. The RAM is better at 16GB, and you get an additional camera on the back, for a total of three; 50MP wide, 48MP ultra-wide and 48MP telephoto. Amazon , Best Buy and Google are offering a $200 gift card for every pre-order.
The Pixel 9 Pro XL starts at $1,099.
The Pixel 9 Pro XL is almost the same as the Pixel 9 Pro, except it has a bigger screen and battery. It features the same Tensor G4 chip with a larger 6.8-inch OLED screen and a higher 1344p resolution with the same 120Hz refresh rate. It also has the same 16GB of RAM and three rear cameras. When you pre-order, you can get a $200 gift card from Amazon , Best Buy or Google .
The Pixel 9 Pro Fold starts at $1,799.
What makes the Pixel 9 Pro Fold different from the rest is that, as the name suggests, it folds. It’s also much more expensive than the others, starting at $1,799. However, it has the same processor and memory, with a Tensor G4 chip and 16GB of RAM, but that’s where the similarities end. It starts with 256GB of internal storage and features a 6.3-inch dual 1080p OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and three rear cameras; 50MP wide, 10.5MP ultra-wide and 10.8MP telephoto. According to assistant tech editor Michelle Erhardt, who was able to try out the phones first-hand, when you open the phone, it turns into an 8-inch “mini tablet.” You can get a $350 gift card from Best Buy or Google if you pre-order from them.
