How to Undo Reposts on TikTok
TikTok is one of the most popular social media apps. As with most platforms, part of the appeal is the ability to easily share someone else’s video on your account so your followers can watch it. But what if you accidentally reposted a video on TikTok? It turns out that canceling a repost is easy, but the application is not very clear on how to do it.
How to Unrepost on TikTok
First, you need to open TikTok on your Android or iPhone. Then go to your TikTok profile by clicking on the profile icon in the bottom right corner. On your profile page, you should see several tabs under your bio. The first tab icon (with six lines) is for videos you’ve published, and the tab with the lock icon is for videos you’ve uploaded and made private. The middle tab icon with two arrows represents videos you have reposted. (The other two tabs are for bookmarks and collections, and videos you’ve liked.)
Go to the middle tab, find the video you reposted and open it. On the video screen, you will see several icons on the right side of the screen. Tap the arrow icon and a Share menu will pop up at the bottom half of the screen. You should see a yellow icon that says “Delete Repost” with two arrows and a check mark. Click on the yellow repost icon and a text box will appear that says Deleted .
Note. While you can undo reposts on TikTok’s mobile apps, the web version of TikTok via tiktok.com does not currently allow you to undo reposts.
