How to Create AI and Emoji Wallpapers on Your Google Pixel

How to Create an AI Wallpaper

Touch and hold an empty area of ​​the Home screen, then choose Wallpaper & Style from the pop-up menu (or go to Wallpaper & Style in Settings). You’ll see a preview of the backgrounds you currently have set for your home and lock screens, and you can tap More Wallpaper to see options to change them.

If you’re ready to hand over the job of creating wallpaper to Google’s AI engines, click AI Wallpaper . To start, you’ll be asked to choose a theme: here you can choose from Night , Landscape , Drawing , Imaginary and Texture , so choose the one that most closely matches what you want to create.

You can’t just type in any invitation you want to create for your wallpaper. Instead, you need to adapt the hint that’s already on the screen: tap any underlined word to choose a different word from the list. If you’re not sure what you want, click Inspire Me to create a wallpaper based on a random prompt.

For example, the imaginary default wallpaper prompt reads: “Surreal silk castle in shades of coral and brown.” You can change the words “castle”, “silk” and “coral and tan” in this sentence – the word “castle” can be replaced with alternatives such as “bridge” or “lighthouse”, but you will not be able to type it. any word you like. When you’re ready, click Create Wallpaper to see what appears.

You can swipe left and right to view the different options generated, and at the top you’ll see thumbs up and thumbs down icons that give feedback to Google’s AI image generator. You can repeat the process until you find something suitable and switch themes using the drop-down menu at the top.

If you have something you like, click on the check mark icon in the top right corner. As with any new wallpaper, when you tap “Set Wallpaper” on the next screen, you get the option to apply it to your lock screen, home screens, or both.

How to Create an Emoji Wallpaper

To get to the emoji wallpaper generator, you follow the same path as for the AI ​​wallpaper generator: either select “Wallpaper & Style” from the main settings screen, or long-press on an empty part of one of the home screens and select “Wallpaper & Style.” . Previews of your current lock screen and Home screen wallpaper are displayed, and you can tap More Wallpaper to make changes.

Select Emoji Workshop to get started with the feature: the next screen will show you the emoji wallpapers you’ve previously created, if any, so you can always go back to them again if needed. To start a new one, tap the large + (plus) icon under the Create Emoji Wallpaper heading.

Your first task is to choose a few emojis as the basis for your wallpaper: Under the Emoji heading, you’ll see a few suggestions, but you can click Change Emojis to change them, or Inspire Me to get a new, randomized selection. . You are allowed to use up to 14 emoji, but you can also create a wallpaper from one.
