Fastest Growing Tech Jobs in 2024, According to LinkedIn
Keeping track of the ever-changing job market has often felt like work itself over the past few years, as the priorities of both employers and employees continue to change. The skill set needed for employment has also changed, changing by 25 percent since 2015, according to LinkedIn . Unsurprisingly, this is especially true for tech workers, as the use of artificial intelligence and advanced automation is becoming more common across all industries, even as inflation-driven economic uncertainty has caused a wave of tech worker layoffs .
Alarming headlines aside, while tech hiring slowed heading into the summer of 2023, it picked up again in the final few months of the year and is now up nearly 12 percent from July (compared to overall hiring). Even with this growth, competition for tech roles still exists, thanks in part to the company’s industry leadership in remote work and stabilizing hiring .
But some positions are in higher demand than others, including those found in a new LinkedIn report .
