The Best Ways to Pack Small Tricky Items While on the Move
We’ve covered our best practices for packing a regular moving box , but when you’re moving, you need to pack everything – even those tiny, annoying items that you can easily lose. So here are our best packaging methods for these irregularly shaped artful compilations.
In the kitchen, line up the spice bottles in the pots and cover them with a lid. They should fit snugly and not rattle too much. If you don’t have knife covers, try stuffing them in potholders. However, remember to remember where the knives are when unpacking. Silver can also be tricky (forks and knives tend to poke holes wherever you put them), so store your silverware in an organizer drawer and wrap it tightly in several layers of plastic wrap. This makes unpacking even easier.
You can also use plastic shopping bags as additional packing material. Simply place them in your drinking class or in any loose boxes for extra padding. To track furniture screws and bolts, collect them in a small bag and tape them to the inside of the matching piece of furniture.
Finally, to make your moving day enjoyable, remember to pack your picnic basket with snacks, disposable plates, plastic utensils, and paper towels. You don’t want to get hungry on a busy day.
