Here’s Best Buy’s Black Friday Calendar and Price Comparison Rules
Best Buy is the first major retailer to announce its plans for Black Friday this year. Earlier this week, they posted a press release on their website detailing their plans, including the dates you can expect to see deals, what member benefits you can expect, what items will be on sale, their extended hours, and how their price comparison. the policy will be different. I’ll go over all the important details of what you can expect this Black Friday from Best Buy and what they’ve done in previous years.
Best Buy’s Black Friday deals begin October 27th.
Best Buy physical stores will be closed on Thanksgiving Day but will open the next day for Black Friday sales. In the meantime there are:
Early access to Black Friday for members . For those who are members of one of Best Buy’s two paid loyalty programs: My Best Buy Plus or My Best Buy Total , early Black Friday deals begin Friday, October 27 and run through October. 29, during which time paying members will have access to these deals.
Early Black Friday Deals for Everyone : Starting October 30th, everyone will have access to early Black Friday deals, including products like TVs, computers and games.
Black Friday Sale. The real Black Friday sale starts on Friday, November 17th. That’s when you’ll find the biggest discounts and the most items on sale.
Cyber Monday Savings: On Sunday, November 26th, Best Buy is participating in Cyber Monday. This sale will be entirely online, like all Cyber Monday sales.
If you enjoy shopping in-store, Best Buy will also be extending its hours starting Monday, November 6th. They will be open from 9:00 to 21:00 local time from Monday to Saturday and from 9:00 to 20:00 on Sunday.
Price matching and return policies will vary.
Best Buy is known for its price matching policy , where most items you find cheaper on other retailers’ listings will be price matched. But from November 17th to November 27th (Cyber Monday), you won’t be able to take advantage of their price matching policy. However, if you find that a particular product is cheaper somewhere during power outages, you can always return it. In fact, they are extending their returns and exchanges policy until January 13th for most items (including online) purchased between October 27th and December 30th.
What to expect this year
Best Buy says you’ll see deals of “up to 50% off on top gifts,” especially during their Cyber Monday sale. In past years they have had several 24 hour “flash sales” similar to the “Deal of the Day” they do every day. Although their best deals will likely come during the Black Friday sale in November. 17, you probably shouldn’t wait until then to buy the specific product you want if you see it heavily discounted during early sales – the best sales always have limited quantities and are not guaranteed to restock. Remember, you can always return it if you find it cheaper later at another store or even Best Buy.
