This Gerber Infant Formula Is Being Recalled (Again)
The headline may sound familiar – that’s because the same potentially contaminated infant formula recalled back in March “out of precaution” somehow still made its way to a retailer in Nashville, Tennessee, who then distributed it to eight states .
Gerber Good Start SootheProTM powdered infant formula is potentially contaminated with Cronobacter sakazakii , a bacterium commonly found in nature that causes no symptoms in most children and adults. However, in premature babies, babies under two months of age, or babies with a weakened immune system, it can cause severe symptoms, including fever, poor appetite, excessive crying, or fatigue.
What infant formula responds?
The recalled infant formula is labeled Gerber Good Start SootheProTM Powdered Infant Formula and was produced from January 2 to 18, 2023. You can see the image here .
