What’s New at Paramount+ in April 2023

I’m not surprised that Paramount+ is launching the Grease series. I’m just surprised it hasn’t happened yet. Glee premiered almost 15 years ago; how did it take so long to revive the old story about peppy kids singing about their school problems? 6) goes about things in a more sideways fashion with a ostensible prequel exploring the origins of the titular girl gang that appears to have been redesigned to be more inclusive and festive rather than delinquent. Call it “Woke Grease” because if you don’t, some Florida newspaper columnist will soon.

Speaking of reboots, we’re also getting a serial update of Fatal Attraction (April 30), that piece of highbrow ’80s meanness, with Joshua Jackson and Lizzy Caplan replacing Michael Douglas and Glenn Close. Personally, I’m hoping for a smarter, gender-reversed You .
