Buy the Footlong Pass on the Subway and Get 50% Off All April
Metro has been suspiciously generous this year. February brought us nine days of free rides on the BOGO metro ; March kicked off with a 50% off BOGO promotion lasting until April 30th , and another limited-time free BOGO coupon . Perhaps they’re trying to distract us from a Discovery+ documentary about their criminal ex-press secretary ? Whatever the reason, it was a win for you, as long as you thought eating a cheap Subway was a win.
The company’s latest promotion is slightly different. They just launched their “Footlong Pass” promotion, which will get you half off one 12-inch car every day in April, but it comes at a cost: Subway is selling 250,000 Footlong Passes for $15 each .
How does the Footlong Pass deal work?
To be eligible to purchase the $15 Footlong Pass, you must first become a My Way Rewards member (it’s free to join). As mentioned, there are only 250,000 of these passes available; they are first come, first served, and you can only buy one of them. They went on sale March 21st and must be purchased by March 25th at 8:00 AM EST. Once purchased, the pass will be linked to your rewards account. How to buy a metro pass
To claim your pass, please enter the email address associated with your Rewards account here . You will be prompted to buy a pass for $15. You will be notified if you were one of the first 250,000 people to receive it. If so, starting April 1st, you will be able to access the Footlong Pass in the Rewards & Deals section of the app or online.
Because all Subways are independent franchises, each location chooses its own promotions to support, not to mention what the corporation advertises, and your half discount offer will only be valid at participating Subway locations ( here’s an easy way to check if a particular location offers specific promo ).
How to know if the Footlong Pass is worth buying
Hiking prices vary by location and sandwich, so the deal may not make sense to you if you don’t walk often enough, live in an area where sandwiches are cheaper, or prefer less expensive food. Before you fork out that $15, calculate how much you need to use the pass to save money. For the sake of simplicity, let’s assume that you tend to order a foot-long Italian BMT for $9. With the pass, you’ll pay $4.50 per sandwich for the entire month of April. Since the pass costs $15, you will need to buy at least four sandwiches on four different days to get your money’s worth.
If you were unable to obtain your Footlong Pass
If you missed the Footlong Pass, don’t despair. While not as great, Subway is still offering 50% off BOGO through April 30th with code “BOGO50” when ordering online or through the app from a participating Subways.
