How to Create Spotify “Iceberg”

Let’s be honest, one of the reasons we love sharing our Spotify listening data is because of the competition. There are apps that help flaunt your diverse library or prove that you’re among the group’s top listener percentage , but now you can show the depth of your obscure music tastes by creating Spotify Iceberg thanks to the Icebergify web app.

Spotify Iceberg borrows the “Iceberg Theory” meme format often used on social media, Reddit, and YouTube videos to show how deep a particular topic is, with lesser-known or hyper-specific information displayed at the top and bottom of the image. . The Icebergify web app does the same with your Spotify listening history, ranking the bands you listen to by their popularity; the deeper you go into the iceberg, the less known the band or artist.

And as we all know, there’s nothing music lovers love more than proving they’re listening to the most hidden gems no one knows about.

How to Create and Share Your Own Spotify Iceberg

  1. Open the Icebergify website on your phone or desktop browser.
  2. Click Create Yours, then sign in with your Spotify account.
  3. Give the app permission to read your listening history when prompted. Please note that Icebergify is a third party app created by independent web developer Akshay Raj , which means it is not officially affiliated with Spotify. The app only clears your listening data (which Spotify usually collects and shares with its ad partners anyway unless you turn it off ), but you should skip Spotify Iceberg if you don’t want to share your listening history with anyone.
  4. After you give the app permission to view your listening history, wait a bit for the data to collect and turn into an iceberg. We’ve noticed that the app sometimes returns an “Internal Error 500” page, but if that happens, just refresh and try again (it may take a few tries before it works). Also note that an empty section means you don’t listen to bands in that popularity range.

Once your Spotify Iceberg is ready, you can copy and save the image, take a screenshot, and share it with your friends and followers.
