Child Culture Guide for Adults: What’s the Problem?
This week’s guide takes us all over the place from obsessed Minecraft inventors, seventy-year viral sensations, and even fried water.
Seniors tik tok
TikTok is a game for young people: only about 4% of the 98 million users in the US are over 55, but that hasn’t stopped some older enthusiasts from going viral and gaining millions of mostly young subscribers. Here are some of the fossils that kids are crazy about.
Charles Mallett : The TikTok king of permanent residence, Charles Mallett has nearly five million subscribers. While many of his videos are disgusting ” watch an old dude try meme ” material, his most watched videos are definitely tear-down tribute to his dead son .
Old Man Steve : The name speaks for itself: it’s an old man named Steve. He has a million and a half followers who do old things like toast , wear a goofy hat and do the trick by showing you old photos and letting you know he’s still alive . Like the best old people, Steve is so friendly it’s unsettling.
Granny Dronyak : If you like capricious old people, pay attention to Granny Dronyak. The wrinkled woman is delightfully grumpy and irritable and really shines when she taunts her commentators . She has her own line of products and over two million subscribers. That’s a lot of insolence!
Piano Grandad : Alan M (AKA Piano Grandad) is my favorite geriatric TikToker. He doesn’t condone. He doesn’t do everything: “Look at me, I’m old!” bullshit. This 85 year old grandfather, 19 years old, is worthy . He plays the classical piano , raises money for cancer research, and still knows how to jitterbike like an ice . The dude in the music room has a harp . Life goals, person, life goals.
Young people spoil the water
The pianist grandfather spent his youth studying Chopin, dodging Hitler’s droning bombs. Today’s children spoil the water.
First, there is the “ thick water problem ”. In it, the kids buy a water thickener at their local Rite-Aid, mix the thick water and tell you how disgusting it is . Harmless entertainment, right? Besides thick water, it is a medical product used by people who have trouble swallowing. You know, so they don’t die.
The severity of the problem (and possibly COVID supply chain issues) reportedly led to a shortage of the product. TikTokers probably didn’t think it through, so it’s definitely not their fault, but there is still no need for commercial water thickeners. Just add gelatin to your Evian if you want to pump yourself up.
Then there is fried water . Invention of YouTuber Jonathan Marcus: Deep-fried water is made by mixing calcium alginate with H2O to create an edible gelatinous ball. Then roll it in bread crumbs and put it in a deep fryer. Mmmm … Delicious! Drinking a tasteless mixture is harmless, but preparing it can be dangerous. Pouring water into a deep fryer is a very bad idea, even if it is jelly-like and breaded. If you do it wrong (and you do it), it explodes and splashes boiling oil on your face … although this video is likely to go viral and won’t bring much comfort.
Khloe Kardashian in bikini, photo drama
A shocking photo of Khloe Kardashian in a bikini surfaced on the internet this week and the entire Kardashian family business is bloody awful. They call lawyers and send deletion notices to just about everyone. Twitter cleans the photo. And Instagram too. The Kardashian clan wants this photo to disappear .
What’s so shocking about forbidden photography? Well, Chloe is without makeup and the photo is not tinted. The photo appears to have been taken by either Chloe’s assistant or grandmother, and was released without permission.
Twitter users pointed to the hypocrisy of the company that took the photo of the famous person, while the offensive statements and death threats did not disappear, and also noted that Chloe looks good in the picture anyway. But I think they are missing the bigger picture. I think the Kardashians want you to see the photo, and they sparked controversy to get you to do it. You know you’re going to google it.
This Week In Video Games: Lil Nas X Releases “Twerk Hero”
Rapper / singer / provocateur Lil Nas X dominated the world last week with his controversial new sneakers and satanic-themed videos for his single “Montero”, but he seems to have missed one trick: there was no connection to video games. … This bug was fixed this week with the release of Twerk Hero, a browser -based rhythm game in which you control Lil Nas X’s buttocks. You shake the projectile money maker Nas as you progress through the levels until you meet the devil himself. Your life will probably be fine if you never play this game, but the video Nas posted on Twitter is pretty funny.
Viral Video of the week: stunning invention Maynkraft
I can’t say enough good things about Minecraft . This is the best video game of all time. It entertains all kinds of gamers, from ordinary people looking to shoot a few skeletons during their lunch break, to the utterly obsessed and brilliant inventors featured in this week’s viral video.
Sipover inMinecraft’s Most Mind-blowing Invention boasts intricate fan-made devices like a terrifying strip mountain machine that crumbles thousands of blocks at a time, a flying bomber plane that drops tons of TNT, and a machine that breaks the game itself, smashing whatever server it is on. working. Unfortunately, the invention of my kid and his friends, “Pi and Poo Man,” a giant statue that constantly spews realistic-looking urine and poop, did not hit the spot.
