You Can Get a Free Chipotle Burrito for Watching the NBA Finals
If you watched Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Thursday, you didn’t just see the Boston Celtics taking the lead in the series against the Golden State Warriors. Fast food chain Chipotle Mexican Grille has partnered with the National Basketball Association to give away 10,000 burritos through a “Buy One Get One Free Coupon” voucher. If you were too caught up in the action to get into this promotion, don’t worry; you’ll have four more opportunities to cash in on this free meal while you keep your eyes peeled.
How the promotion works
Chipotle hides unique keywords in its ads that unlock 10,000 Buy One Get One Free coupons for each of the first five games of the NBA Finals. As soon as you see the code, you need to send it to 888222 as soon as possible, otherwise all codes will be claimed. You will receive a confirmation text if you qualified on time, with instructions on how to claim your burrito.
For what it’s worth, this code isn’t obvious. I mean it when I say that if you blink you will miss it. Here is an example of what the code looked like last year when they ran a similar promotion.
In addition, you will need to download or have already downloaded the Chipotle app in order to cash out your coupon. I know we all have mixed feelings about downloading new apps, but be that as it may, Chipotle is one of the best apps for getting free stuff. You can only enter the code once per game, but there is no limit to the number of games you can play.
