Best Morning Routine for Those Who Don’t Like Morning Routine
Getting ready in the morning sucks. You are sleepy, the light hurts your eyes, you stumble and suddenly think about everything you need to do in the coming hours until you can crawl back into bed. How should you look together in these conditions?
Here are some tips on how to get ready in the morning faster and more efficiently.
Lay out your clothes ahead of time
One of the biggest hurdles we all face every morning is finding nice, coordinated clothes that are clean, appropriate for the place we are going, and – ideally – trendy. Save yourself the hassle of spending 10 minutes putting on and taking off your clothes (which you’ll have to rush to put away later) by laying out your outfits ahead of time.
You can do this every Sunday night and treat it like cooking, but check the suggested outfit for the next day every evening to make sure it matches the weather or the next morning’s new planned events.
Select five outfits and move them to the front of the closet. Better yet, grab one of these hanging organizers. With five hangers, they help separate your pre-planned outfits from other clothes. Plus, you can detach one side of the organizer, allowing it to dangle and save space on your closet rail.
Waking up in the morning without worrying about what to wear for the day is a game changer. You simply put on the clothes you had already chosen when your brain was more functional and you had time to try on the fashion show in front of the mirror.
Plan ahead for breakfast
Keep your breakfast items to go and make sure they taste good. If you keep a bunch of muesli bars you hate in your closet, you won’t eat them. On your way to work, you’ll stop for a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich and slow yourself down. (Of course, if you plan your time correctly, stopping at a coffee shop won’t be a problem.)
If you love iced coffee, make sure you have ice in your freezer. Prepare a cold drink at night and save yourself even more time. In the evening, mix smoothies and place them in the freezer. Do your best to make sure your food is ready in the morning so you don’t get stuck trying to crack an egg and put on your shoes at the same time.
Decorate at night
If you’re someone who takes care of your hair or makeup, you don’t have to wake up at dawn to do it. Sleep with your hair wrapped in curlers or something similar, like Sleepy Tie , a large hair tie that helps reduce frizz, extend the life of your style, and keep your hair out of your face at night. Sleep on a silk pillowcase for extra hair and skin benefits.
Think about your skin too. You won’t need to apply nearly the same amount of foundation in the morning if you have good skin. Consider slugging so that while you sleep you prepare your skin for the next day.
Finally, you may want to consider some semi-permanent improvements. Eyelash extensions can help you cut down on the time it takes to apply mascara or false lashes in the morning. Permanent makeup can give you long-lasting pigmentation of your eyebrows or lips, preventing you from wasting unnecessary time painting those parts of your face. If you spend a significant amount of minutes every day changing the texture or growth pattern of your hair, consider an appropriate salon option, whether it’s a perm or a relaxing treatment.
Wake up on the right side of the bed
An important point in getting ready and leaving the house on time is a good rest. If you sleep through your alarm clock , are too tired when you get up, or simply wake up in a bad mood, your day will not start well.
Set a window shade timer to wake up to natural light. Or use a gradual alarm so you don’t wake up scared.
The more effort you put in at night to prepare for a beautiful morning day, the better your 24-hour cycle as a whole will be.
