Twine Makes It Easy to Create Choose Your Own Adventure Stories
If you’ve ever thought it would be too difficult to write your own game, choose an adventure or a text game, Twine’s free storytelling tool makes it as easy as shelling pears.
You can create large-scale non-linear stories using the Twine Stories web interface, and you can do it all in a browser if you like. The tool was originally created by Chris Klimas back in 2009 but has expanded so you can also add variables, images, conditional logic, and CSS or JavaScript if you want to take your storytelling to the next level. It all publishes in HTML, so you can post or link it anywhere, and you can do whatever you want with whatever you create. The only downside is that it doesn’t give you a lot of tutorials, so you’ll need to do a little research on their wiki to learn how to do really cool stuff. If you have a story to tell, you can download Twine for free for Windows and OS X, or run it in your browser from the link below.
