Wash the Grapes Quickly With Baking Soda and Salt
Obviously, you should wash the grapes before eating, but it can be a little painful to make sure each one is clean. To speed up the process, rinse them with baking soda and salt.
It’s not that washing the grapes is that difficult, but sometimes it seems like too much work pays off. Because of this, I often randomly wash my grapes and tell myself that they are clean, only to swallow the bitter residue that still covers many of them. If you are, like me, lazy, use Nature Nurture’s easy way to make sure all of your grapes are peeled:
First, remove the grapes from the stem, rinse quickly and place in a wide, shallow bowl. Then sprinkle the grapes with 1-2 teaspoons of salt. Sprinkle another 1-2 teaspoons of baking soda on it. Then take a bowl and shake it vigorously from side to side and front to back for 30 seconds to a minute … Finally, rinse thoroughly under cold water.
It’s much easier than rubbing each grape individually, and much more thorough than just rinsing them and eating the waxy coating of pesticides and dirt. To view the entire publication, use the link below.
