Don’t Install Android 12 Beta (Yet)
The first beta of Android 12 is already available for a number of Android devices and the first impressions are positive. Testers are praising the updated interface and many useful tweaks and new features already available in the beta. The enthusiastic answer might get you excited for Android 12, but it might be a good idea to postpone the installation of the unfinished OS for now.
While the public beta means Android 12 is finally in a state where regular users can use it reliably, many features are still incomplete, missing or prone to breakage.
For example, Android 12’s “game mode” is technically listed in the latest beta, but you can’t use it. Other customizations and changes to the user interface are also pending. These incomplete elements can lead to bugs and other performance issues that most of us don’t want to face on the devices we use every day. Even if you find Android 12 generally stable at the moment, the beta will receive many updates between now and the final version, any of which may introduce new bugs.
App compatibility – issue with Android 12
Then there is a lack of application compatibility. This is purely speculative, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the launch of Android 12 turns out to be more messy than expected.
Obviously these points won’t matter much to die-hard Android fans with multiple Android devices running, developers trying an early build for testing purposes, or journalists and early adopters wanting to share their experiences with the general public, but these are probably the only ones. who should download the beta version of Android 12 for now.
Maybe you can’t wait until the final version; at least consider sticking to the first few beta versions in the hopes that the one you install will be more stable, but the safest option is to wait a few more months for the final version.
