What’s New on Amazon Prime Video June 2021
In 2002, Oscar-winning Italian actor Roberto Benigni, who previously gained worldwide fame for his embellished chronicle of the horrors of the Holocaust , directed his most heartbreaking film: a live-action version of it. The most beloved children’s novel of his native country ” The Adventures of Pinocchio”, in which the 50-year-old actor himself played the cheerful protagonist. His attempt to darken the dreams of an entire generation of children was blocked by the failure of the film (he was also nominated for six Razzie Awards ), but in 2020 he made a second attempt, playing the sinister shoemaker Geppetto, who curses Pinocchio with his life – in Pinocchio (to appear on Prime Video June 11), which faithfully recreates the nightmarish imagery of the original story. Is the director cursed to star in ever more exciting versions of this classic fable? For humanity’s sake, let’s hope the madness ends here – although we can still “look forward to” at least two more remakes, including one from Guillermo del Toro and another from Robert Zemeckis . If this sounds too intense for you, there is a small list of other goodies coming to Amazon’s streaming service in June, including the new season of Anna Paquin starring Flack (June 11) and the final Bosch episodes (June 25), which: “ Seven Seasons is one of the longest running original streaming episodes.
