Find and Remove Twitter “Egg” Followers With This Google Script
Twitter is a great way to connect with others, but there are an insane amount of bots and fake accounts out there. If you want to remove all of your egg followers, this simple Google script can help you weed them out.
As script creator Amit Agarwal of Digital Inspiration explained, they are called “egg followers” because the default Twitter account image is an egg with a colored background. Actually, this is exactly how the script looks for them. It looks at the URL of each of your Twitter followers avatar and pulls out any one with the word “default”. Of course, not all egg accounts are bots or fakes. Some just want to remain anonymous. In this case, you can see their recent activity and if they have tweeted at all. The script takes a little time to run, so please be patient. The more followers you have, the longer it will take. Get a copy of the script and learn more from the link below.
