How to Get a Refund for a Recalled IKEA Cutlery

Even if the store’s reputation in pop culture as a break -up point is well deserved, being able to find the right set of dishes on a tight budget makes the visit worth the risk.
However, you shouldn’t part with IKEA expecting your purchases to last forever. This $ 5 four-glass pack, while affordable, is unlikely to be a family heirloom. But you must be sure that the brand’s products are safe. That’s why, in collaboration with the US Consumer Product Safety Commission, IKEA recently announced a voluntary recall of some of its bowls, plates and mugs. What is included in the IKEA cookware recall
Voluntary IKEA review includes bowls, plates and mugs from the HEROISK and TALRIKA product lines, which are made from PLA (polylactic acid or polylactide) material. The reason for recall is that these items may become brittle and break. Here are some of the products included in the review:
This is annoying no matter the temperature, but if the food or drink you put in or on the plate is hot, it may leak out and cause burns. So far, only one incident has been recorded in the United States, although the person involved has not been harmed.
The items included in the recall sold in U.S. stores and online between August 2019 and May 2021 and were priced between $ 3.99 and $ 11.99. To find out if your bowls, plates and / or mugs are included in the tip, turn them over and look at the bottom of each item for the following information:
- HEROISK or TALRIKA (product names)
- 23348 (vendor number)
- “Made in Taiwan”
- “PLA”
HEROISK bowls, plates and mugs were sold in packs of two, while TALRIKA bowls, plates and mugs were sold in packs of four.
How to get money back for recalled IKEA products
If you have any recalled items, you can return them to any IKEA store for full compensation. No receipt or any other proof of purchase is required. To date, IKEA has not provided customers, including those who do not live near the store, with an alternative method of obtaining refunds.
