Parallels Access 2.5 Controls Your Remote Computer From Any Browser

iOS / Android / Internet: the Parallels the Access , a great mobile tool for remote access to the desktop, today has become even steeper. The new version finally allows you to remotely control your computer from any browser (including Chromebook).

Parallels Access is a $ 19.99 annual subscription that gives you remote access to five computers. In the new version, you can use any HTML5 compatible browser, which means that you no longer need to have a mobile application at hand. I did a test drive with a Chromebook and the access was the same as with other remote control programs . Control was smooth over both Wi-Fi and cellular connections. My only major complaint is that it doesn’t support multiple monitors.

Mobile apps also received a minor update: Parallels Access now transfers files to and from your phone or tablet. On iOS, they included a document picker. With Access, you can take a file from a remote computer and open it right on your iPhone or iPad. Both applications add the ability to play sounds from a remote computer while Parallels Access is running in the background.

As in the previous version, the application changes the resolution of your remote computer to match the resolution of your mobile device. It also gives you the ability to turn off the screen remotely so that no one at home or work can see what you are doing. Stay tuned for updates on the Parallels homepage below.
