Get Rid of the Thought of Being Constantly Busy by Changing Your Language.

It’s easy to get caught up in the idea that you are too busy to do anything, but it most likely has to do with your mindset. It can be helpful to stop telling yourself that you are very busy , and one way to do this is to change what you say.

Of course, you are busy to some extent – all of us – but your busy thinking only perpetuates the idea that you have no time for anything. Which, in turn, can stress you a lot. Anese Cavanaugh of Inc. suggests that a little tweak to your language can help you get out of this busy black hole:

Several years ago I realized that even the word “busy” tires me, when I used it or another person loaded their words “busy” on me, I felt my energy sink. So I changed my language: “I have a lot of schedule.” “I’m well used to it.” “I am on purpose.” It changed my game.

This may seem like a small change, but it can help you realize that you have more time than you thought, and also create an opportunity to tell yourself that you have achieved your goals. It’s okay to be productive and busy, but make sure they line up.
