Soak Corks in Rubbing Alcohol to Make Cheap Candles
Wine and candles go hand in hand, like chocolate and Valentine’s Day. Once you open the bottle, save the cork. You can later turn it into a cheap candle.
As we said earlier, corks are excellent at absorbing alcohol . This makes them useful as firelighters. However, if you don’t need a jar full of lighters, you can use them as homemade candles. Place them vertically in a fireproof candlestick and light one end. As with anything about fire, be careful. Remember that cork soaked in alcohol is flammable all over, so put it in a safe place before lighting it.
