WillMyPhoneWork Shows What Carriers Your Phone Will Work On
Knowing if your phone will work with another carrier is a headache for everyone. Finally finally someone came up to fix this with WillMyPhoneWork.
Created by Reddit user and reputed South Park fan , ManBearCoon , will ask you a few questions about your phone, including make and model. You will then select the country and carrier you want to use it in, and the site will tell you if your device is technically compatible.
Of course, there are a few more factors to consider. Last but not least, is your phone unlocked . The site also states which ranges are supported, but keep in mind that these may be limited to certain regions. However, this will bring you a lot closer to a rough estimate than a random Google search. If the results show that you have a reasonable chance of expecting your phone to work, call your carrier and try activating it. Or insert a SIM card if possible.
You may run into some problems when determining the submodel of your phone, as this is not information that manufacturers are always willing to provide. While there isn’t a single place guaranteed to show this, I found that going to any app on Google Play and expanding the list of your devices it is compatible with gave me the information I needed. WillMyPhoneWork also suggests checking Settings> About phone> Model number (although it’s not always there). If you find yours somewhere else, please let us know.
