Most Popular Personal Finance Book: Dave Ramsey’s Total Money

If you want to get your finances in order, there is no shortage of books to help you. Last week, we asked you to pick the ones you think are the best , then we looked at the top five personal finance books and put them to a vote. We will now go back to highlight your favorite.

The cult of personality or not, but most of you – about 45% – have decided that the book of Dave Ramsey’s “The Complete erection of money” – is your favorite book on personal finance of the five that we were compared to each other. Many of you praised his specific plans, step-by-step financial advice, and depth of knowledge that helped you get your money in order.

In second place with 23% of the total number of votes was the bookRamit Sethi, “I’ll teach you to be rich” , a book that we have considered here in Lifehacker, and wrote a columnist, you have probably seen the offering here my financial advice before. Third place and just under 16% of the vote went to George Clason’s The Richest Man in Babylon, a collection of financial parables set in ancient Babylon, but just as relevant today. Fourth place went to Vicky Robin and Joe Dominguez Your Money or Your Life , with over 11% of the popular vote. Finally, at the bottom of the list with 5% of the votes was Beth Kobliner’s book Get a Financial Life , a book aimed directly at young people and helping them get and avoid debt.
