How to Quickly Peel a Hard-Boiled Egg by Shaking It in a Glass of Water
Peeling hard-boiled eggs can be a nightmare if you don’t cook them properly or try to rip off the shells in a tiny piece. Shaking a glass partially filled with water quickly can do the job in seconds.
In this YouTube video MicahMedia you can see how fast it really is. Use a glass that is small enough to hold between your thumb and the rest of your fingers. Place a hard-boiled egg in a glass, cover it about half an inch with water, cover the top of the glass with your fingers as shown in the illustration, and start shaking. The trick is to shake it over the sink so that some of the water can drain out through your fingers and not spill out. You should be able to reach out and pinch the shell of the egg.
