Ask the Expert: All About Memorization Techniques
Can you train yourself to improve your memory? In a sense, yes. You should be healthy skeptic about ” mind games “, but when it comes to memory, practicing different techniques can really help you improve your ability to remember.
Just ask Nelson Dellis . Nelson is a three-time winner of the US Memorization Championship and is well versed in memorization techniques and brain health. In fact, he will be competing again in just a few days, on March 29th ( more on that here ). This is not an innate talent; Nelson began competing in memory competitions in 2009 after seeing his grandmother die of Alzheimer’s and believes that everyone can improve their memory through practice. He also founded a non-profit fundraising organization for Alzheimer’s research.
How he does it? He’ll be here within the next hour, so ask!
