15 New Shortcuts You Can Use With Apple’s New Trackpad

Apple’s new MacBook and MacBook Pro feature a new Force Touch trackpad that increases pressure sensitivity. Along with this, all sorts of new gestures and gimmicks appear, and 9to5Mac details the top 15 in the video above.

You can do all sorts of cool new things with the new Force Click options, here’s what 9to5Mac has discovered so far:

  1. Rename any shortcut
  2. Preview any file
  3. Preview calendar dates
  4. Click any date to create an event
  5. Add a pin to Maps
  6. Pressure-sensitive zoom in Maps
  7. Find the definition of any word
  8. pressure sensitive fast forward
  9. Show all windows from an open application
  10. Right click on certain dock icons
  11. Edit contact details
  12. Add contact with number or email address
  13. Preview any link (Safari only)
  14. Show DND options in messages
  15. Pressure sensitive drawing

Obviously it’s not really useful enough to justify buying one of these new laptops, but it’s a great set of new features nonetheless.
