10 so-Called Roku Originals Really Worth Seeing
Quibi was the most touted streaming service that you never heard of (or perhaps never cared about) in early 2020. The hopeful streaming competitor has unveiled over 75 new programs featuring some of the A-list celebrities, including Anna Kendrick on Dummy , Kevin Hart and John Travolta on Dai Hart, and Laurence Fishburne on #FreeRayshawn , which even won an Emmy. Then he completely failed.
Why didn’t it work? Well, no one wanted to pay for the short content streaming service its investors hoped. But there is hope for programs that have ceased back in 2020 as the Quibi shows have finally found a new home on the completely free Roku channel, renamed “Roku Originals,” which is kind of funny. Here are some of the best former Quibi footage to watch when it hits the streaming channel on May 20 – 30 shows will be free to watch that day , with more of the 75 Quibi lineups expected to hit the channel in the future.
