Add an App or File to Your Mac Dock Instantly With a Keyboard Shortcut
If you want to add a file or app to your dock, you can always just click and drag it. Or, as OS X Daily points out, you can simply use the keyboard shortcut from the Finder.
All you have to do is select the application or file in the Finder and then press Ctrl + Shift + Command + T. This will add whatever you have highlighted to the Dock. It’s not something you will be using every day, but adding items is much faster.
