Remove Splashes of Vegetable Oil With Paper Towels and a Baking Sheet

Cooking on the stove means cleaning the stove later.

However, there are a few tricks you can use to keep the oil from splashing on the burners, countertop, and backsplash, and clean up the whole thing faster when you’re done.

As you can see in the short video above, splatter elimination starts even before you put the food in the pan.

Choose a frying pan with high sides

This will keep most of the splash out. You can also try the frying pan, a silicone collar that wraps around your skillet to catch large splashes.

Pat food dry

Be sure to blot dry before putting food inside. Butter splashes as it resists water, so less water means less bursting and better crust on the outside of the food.

Add splash protection

Splash guard is a mesh that traps splashes while allowing steam to escape for a crunchy meal.

Use a baking sheet

Make cleaning easier by covering the other cooking zones with an inverted baking sheet and wipe off any grease that may have leaked out with hot water and dish soap using a microfiber cloth. Finally, to get rid of the grease on your old apron, spray on an all-purpose cleaner and let it sit for 20 minutes before wiping off.
