Prepare Fancy Crystal Clear Ice Cubes From Boiled Water
There is nothing wrong with cloudy ice cubes. But if you prefer pure ice cubes, you can easily make them with boiled water.
On About.com, chemist Ann Helmenstein explains that pure ice is made from pure water that does not contain dissolved gases. Transparent cubes are usually made from water purified by reverse osmosis or distillation. But you can do it with tap water too. It just needs to be boiled.
