You Can Love Your Job Again by Climbing Out of the Bubble

Breaking the bubble and getting out of your comfort zone can help you find what you’re really passionate about in life, but it can also make you realize that you really love what you already do.

Chasing passions may sound like chasing your head in the clouds, but it’s really just basic logic. In most cases, you won’t know if you like something until you try it. Scott Hanson of Entrepreneur explains that things can go both ways:

On the other hand, trying to find a new job, industry, or career can backfire: you can hate it and miss your old job. Whether or not you can get back to the way it was depends on many factors, but returning to your old industry or similar position after trying something new can make you come back as a more dedicated, passionate person and eliminate the nagging “what if? ”That held you back.

You’re probably pretty sure what you like, but changing your perspective is helpful no matter how you feel about forking. You either find what you like best, or you realize that you are exactly where you need it. Study volunteer work, research different assignments, and try to get your feet wet when you have time. Choose your bubble and destroy the unknown.
