Facebook Adds Scrapbooks to Collect Your Kids’ Photos in One Place
Facebook has added a new feature called Scrapbooks, which takes photos you’ve tagged your kids in and combines them into one album for sharing.
Many parents are already using the social network to post pictures and status updates of their children. Scrapbooks make it a little easier to collect all those photos by letting you pick a specific tag for your child (like initials, first name, or a silly nickname). Only parents / guardians can tag their children in photos, and once tagged, these photos will be added to custom baby albums. However, friends and family will be able to browse the albums and see how quickly the children are growing. (Note: Scrapbooks do not have their own privacy settings, but individual photos in them retain the privacy settings that were set for them when they were uploaded.)
To start a scrapbook for your child, go to your profile, click About Me and then Family & Relationships. Click the Get Started button on the invitation to create the album. This feature is also available on iPhone and Android.
