Sand Wooden Bowls and Utensils With a Brown Paper Bag

If your wooden bowls or utensils look a little fluffy, this is probably because the wood grain has been lifted from the repeated washing and drying. All they need is a little finishing sanding, and if you don’t have high grit sandpaper, you can use a brown paper bag.

If the wood is cracked or chipped, you will need to use regular sandpaper, ranging from fine (coarse) grit to high (finer) grit. But if all you need for a bowl or utensil is sand for a quick finish, a brown paper bag is fine. Fold it into a square and use it just like sandpaper.
