Better Photos Will Help You Sell Your Home Faster, for Thousands of Dollars More
If you are planning to sell your home soon, you might want to consider hiring a professional photographer or improving your photography skills. It can cost over $ 10,000.
Brokerage firm Redfin Corp examined the ads to compare them to professional and amateur photography. For homes that cost between $ 200,000 and $ 1 million, DSLR photos were found to sell $ 3,400 to $ 11,200 more than their list price. They were also more likely to sell within six months and up to three weeks faster than ads with amateur photos.
Although the analysis was conducted in 2013, it repeats previous research the company conducted in 2010 with similar results. It may seem obvious that the best photographs make your home better, but it’s interesting to know how much that can make a difference.
