Grow Baby Salad so You Always Have Fresh Salads on Hand

If you don’t have room to grow an entire garden for fresh vegetables and fruits, choose a young salad. You will be able to grow an almost constant stock in a small space.

A “baby” salad is not really a special kind of salad – it is just a salad that you plant for the purpose of harvesting before it reaches maturity. Since lettuce heads never grow to full size, you can plant the seeds closer together. You can even grow young lettuce in a planter that will fit on your window or balcony.
