Microsoft Still Does Not Give License for the Windows 10 Beta Users
At the weekend we reported that Microsoft was planning to hand out free licenses for Windows 10 to those who tried to pre-release version. As it turns out, Microsoft itself seemed baffled. Now the company says that setting Preview to unauthorized computer does not give you a free license .
The way it works is a bit difficult, but if you had a valid license to Windows 7, or 8 to install Preview, you can free upgrade to conventional RTM-version of Windows 10. If not, the Microsoft will continue to update the preview version of Windows 10, the new beta versions, so you can stay in the program, a preliminary assessment, if you want. Thus, participation in the Insider program does not guarantee you a valid active license for the final version, but you can get active license to other beta.
