Add a Secret Swipe Gesture to Open a Windows App on Mac

There are all sorts of great MacBook gestures, Magic Trackpads and Magic Mouse. On iMore, they demonstrate how to add another one that shows which windows are open in the application.

After enabling this gesture using a terminal command, you can swipe up with two fingers on an application icon in the Dock to open all windows open in that application. It will also show the contents of any folder. To enable it, open Terminal (Applications> Utilities) and type:

the default is com.apple.dock scroll-to-open -bool TRUE; killall dock

Now, when you swipe over any icon in the Dock, you will see all open windows associated with that app. Swipe down to return to normal.
